Jet lagging through lots of wine, tapas, museums, walking and driving, I decided not to do the 11 hour road trip to Santiago the night before. Upon waking, I decided to make the day trip to Burgos instead, a 5 hour drive in total. It was the highlight of my trip!! So very happy to have found a way to connect with my Artist in Residence project with the Lotus Project of Trenton. Burgos is 2nd part of the “Path of Miracles” four part composition by Jody Talbot. The other three are Roncevalles, Leon and Santiago. This composition is based on the El Camino de Santiago, (The Way of St. James) which is a 577+ mile pilgrimage which starts in France and ends in Spain.

After a 1+ hour delay in JFK and 10 hours between Vienna and Frankfurt we finally made it to Valencia, upsetting the schedule and checkins. However on a positive note, I finally got a good night’s sleep after lack of rest in the three airports.

3/7/23

Off to Spain for the next seven days. Scheduled a day trip to Santiago de Compostella, hoping to squeeze that trip into a very tight schedule…Valencia to Murcia to Madrid to Santiago.

Ending a memorable 2022 with a special offering: “I am thankful for an extremely gratifying 2022. In gratitude I would like to share my joy by offering for the first time, six of my 2022 silkscreens from my “In the Moment” collection at a special price (20% off) for a very limited time. These original works of art are hand-pulled silkscreens. This series began with capturing the joie de vivre of the New York subway performers. It has grown to include performers I find abroad, and in my hometown Trenton and the surrounding areas.

This celebratory year began with an exhibition in lower Manhattan at Anderson Contemporary NYC followed by a Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a purchase award by the Mercer County Cultural & Heritage Commission and culminates with a year-long exhibition at the new Newark/Munich Airport NJ Terminal A.

This collection will be release online on Monday, December 5th.”

It was an incredible 2-day Gala on Times Square. My immersive, multimedia installation debut “FREE Me - The Ritual” was a success. After four days of installation the two preceding weeks, working out the kinks, unexpected hurdles and lack of help it all came together the last day of installation. Thanks to Anita Durst for helping me secure the five needed dancers/performers. With 10 pairs of hands on deck (five per day) my vision came to life…it was magical.
